In Partials, the world is devastated by a deadly virus that wiped out most of humanity, leaving behind only small pockets of survivors. The disease, known as RM, was engineered by the Partials, a race of genetically enhanced soldiers who were created by humans but turned against them. The virus only affects humans, and the survivors are now struggling to rebuild society. The story is set in a future where the remaining humans are confined to isolated cities, living under constant threat of the Partials’ return. Amid this bleak world, sixteen-year-old Kira Walker, a medical student, is driven by a singular goal: to find a cure for RM and save the last generation of humans, all of whom are born sterile. Despite the progress of human technology and medicine, no one has been able to reverse the effects of RM, and Kira must navigate a web of political and social tensions as she seeks a way to solve the mystery of the virus.

Kira’s journey leads her into dangerous territory, as she discovers secrets about the Partials and their connection to the virus. Along the way, she forms alliances with her friends, including Samm, a Partial who seems to be different from his kind. Kira’s search for the cure becomes increasingly personal, as she grapples with the moral and ethical implications of her discoveries. She must face difficult choices about loyalty, survival, and the future of humanity. As the story unfolds, Kira and her allies begin to unravel the truth about the Partials and their role in the destruction of humanity. The novel explores themes of survival, identity, and the complex relationship between humans and the artificial beings they created.
